What's Really Going On In Afghanistan?

Watch this video and see for yourself. It aint pretty. Watch how close this news crew comes to being killed just trying to report how bad things are getting there. I hope they get the Pulitzer they deserve for this.

Why does Bush swear he won't cut & run from Iraq, yet he's obviously doing exactly that in Afghanistan? At least we fulfilled every reason Bush gave us for going to war in Iraq before we went. We captured Saddam, and got rid of the threat posed by their WMD's (ignoring the fact that there were none to start with). But in Afghanistan, we never did catch or kill bin Laden, Zawahri or Mullah Omar, nor did we completely stamp out the Taliban. Even the pentagon's DIA director concedes that the Taliban is mounting a resurgence just as we are beginning to withdraw our troops...

Washington Post: ...The director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Lt. Gen. Michael D. Maples, told Congress on Tuesday that the insurgency in Afghanistan is growing and will intensify this spring, presenting the biggest threat to the Karzai government. The United States has about 19,000 troops in Afghanistan and has said it plans to reduce troop levels by about 3,000 later this year...(more)
I can't imagine what Bush was doing visiting Afghanistan last week, except for maybe offering condolences to Karzai for the failed US mission there.
