Why Do You Keep Lying Rummy?

Video via C&L: Rummy called out in Atlanta!

Ray McGovern, who was in the CIA for twenty seven years asked him why he lied about the run-up to the Iraq war. Rumsfeld then proceeded to lie to McGovern to cover up his earlier statements about WMD's being in Iraq.
RUMSFELD: ...it appears that there were not weapons of mass destruction there.
McGOVERN: You said you knew where they were.
RUMSFELD: I did not. I said I knew where suspect sites were and...
McGOVERN: You said you knew where they were. Tikrit, Baghdad, northeast, south, west of there. Those are your words. ...(more)
ThinkProgress: Of course, Rumsfeld did say he knew where the WMD were. From ABC’s This Week, 5/4/03:
STEPHANOPOULOS: And is it curious to you that given how much control U.S. and coalition forces now have in the country, they haven’t found any weapons of mass destruction?
SEC. RUMSFELD: …We know where they are. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat.
The man who called out the liar was on PBS Newshour just last week.
I really like this guy. :)

Video via Veredictum: Ex-CIA Analyst Ray McGovern Encourages Whistleblowing on War Crimes

Ray McGovern says that the "war of aggression" on Iraq, the secret "black" prisons, torture, rendition and other activities are "war crimes". The American people deserve to know when crimes are being committed by their government. McGovern says:
" That's the reason these prisons are overseas, because there is U.S. law, 18 U.S. Code 2441, the War Crimes Act, which forbids these activities, torture, rendition, putting people, disappearing people, and so forth. And so that's why these things are created overseas.

But my point is: This is not American. This is not the country that we serve. And when we see this happening, somebody has to speak out. "
