sans-culottes translates literally to 'no breeches'. The name was chosen by the working class French Revolutionaries (you know, the "off with their heads" crowd) opposed to aristocracy who triggered what would eventually end dynastic rule across Europe. Les enragés (angry ones) were a distinct group of sans-culottes.
So, I'm either into going around bottomless, or I identify with the movement, or both. I kinda like the ambiguity.

The blogs are to me the realm of the neo sans-culottes.
Not as an instigator of a violent overthrow of any government, but as a powerful medium that can be utilized by all stripes, but tamed by none.
The blogs can be a powerful leveler that no government actor, no elite megalomaniac, no corporate entity, nor the most well-connected special interests can long ignore.
As long as the internet remains free, we have the means to affect change in ways not seen since Louis XIV was forced to kneel.
I'd really like to know what others are thinking. I read every comment, and try to respond to most.
